Our leadership

Chris Cavanaugh
Chief Executive Officer
Chris Cavanaugh is a transformational business executive who has led from the forefront of visual and experiential marketing for more than 35 years. Combining deep business acumen, marketing expertise, and a service mindset, Chris works across all facets of Imagine to bring extraordinary ideas to life and build a culture.
Over the past three decades, Chris has built versatile business strategies to advance growth and innovation at the world's most beloved brands. As EVP & Chief Marketing Officer at Freeman, the global leader in events, Chris contributed to the total transformation of the $2.8 billion business as part of the company’s executive team. He also launched FreemanXP to meet the strategic demands of a changing marketplace, creating an experiential marketing agency that partners with Fortune 500 brands to create and execute their most important events and brand experiences.
Prior to Freeman, Chris devoted 16 years to Jack Morton Worldwide, an Interpublic Group company, where he directed global growth strategies and groundbreaking integrated marketing and experiential programs. He also served CEO of NewSkyxr, an immersive virtual event platform, and as President and Chief Marketing Officer of Taft & Partners, a multidisciplinary communications agency.
Throughout his career, Chris has continually focused on uniting teams, unlocking opportunities to drive exponential growth, and creating organizations where people love to work.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Elizabethtown College.
In his free time, Chris enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and embracing new cultures and experiences to inspire new viewpoints. He is the proud father of twin sons who are currently attending college.

Tim Bettenga
Chief Administrative Officer
Tim Bettenga is a steadfast thought partner and strategic advisor who shepherds sound decision-making and a culture of integrity across Imagine. As head of legal, compliance, and human resources, Tim provides strategic advisory for the business, our clients, and our team members. He oversees all legal, governance, compliance, and security functions.
With more than 30 years of experience in private equity and public company environments, Tim has strong expertise in establishing and shaping effective legal, governance, compliance, and risk management programs. Prior to joining Imagine, he provided counsel to a $1 billion commercial construction business which operated worldwide. His career spans manufacturing, production, fulfillment, and distribution business operations.
Principled and dependable, Tim takes pride in making a positive difference in the lives of others. He has built his career on treating everyone with value and respect, and enjoys working with people to navigate challenges, eliminate obstacles, and protect people and communities. In addition to his role at Imagine, Tim devotes his expertise and time to pro bono work for human rights organizations.
Tim received his law degree from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary English Education from the University of Minnesota. He is an avid golfer and collector of rare books and maps, and was a high school English teacher prior to pursuing a career in law.

Judy Carle
Chief Financial Officer
Judy Carle leads financial strategy and stewardship for Imagine, managing accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, and tax. Working closely with the Imagine team, Judy leverages her deep expertise and experience to advance strategic priorities and sustainable business decisions, while also ensuring an appropriate control environment.
Over the past three decades, Judy has built a distinguished career across complex financial leadership roles. She joined Imagine from the NORDAM Group, a global aviation and aerospace manufacturer. At NORDAM, she served as Chief Financial Officer, with a focus on enhancing business performance and financial execution against strategic initiatives.
Prior to NORDAM, she was Chief Financial Officer of the ESAB segment of Colfax Corporation and also held several financial leadership positions at water solutions provider Pentair, including Chief Financial Officer of its publicly reported business segments.
Judy holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of St. Thomas. She enjoys yoga and long walks and is strongly considering swapping out her tennis racket for a pickleball racket.

Jeff Eccles is a strategic business and technology leader who delivers measurable value to companies and their stakeholders. For nearly four decades, Jeff has helped organizations of all sizes to navigate rapid change. From the early days of the Internet to today's “always on” omnichannel world, his philosophy has stayed the same: lead from the business perspective first, and deploy common-sense IT solutions to realize beneficial change.
At Imagine, Jeff supports business growth and investments in new systems and technology. He previously led the development and implementation of IT strategies for large global organizations and brands including Famous Dave’s of America and Clark Crew BBQ. For ten years, Jeff served as Chief Information Officer of Taylor Corporation, a $2 billion global company, where he successfully managed a team of 700 professionals and an IT budget of $65 million. He has consistently achieved double- and triple-digit gains through transformative technology and IT strategies.
A lifelong learner, Jeff served as a technology advisor for Scholarship America. He is passionate about inclusive leadership and developing high-performance teams, and has mentored many professionals who are now senior-level leaders. Jeff holds a degree in information technology management from Concordia University, St. Paul and a degree in computer programming from South Central College. In his free time, he likes to read, walk with his wife, and play and record music.

Katherine Zimoulis is a strategic thinker and multidisciplinary storyteller who has driven engagement and growth for brands worldwide. For more than 15 years, Katherine has developed innovative, award-winning marketing and PR strategies to fuel business gains. Blending big-picture thinking and meticulous execution, Katherine delivers compelling solutions that achieve business priorities while meeting consumer needs.
Prior to Imagine, Katherine led marketing strategy for Freeman, the global leader in events. Over the course of her career, Katherine has developed integrated marketing solutions for a variety of industries including healthcare, luxury, and consumer goods, and recruiting.
Energetic and uplifting, Katherine is known for her skill in championing high-impact individuals and teams. She has served on the advisory panel of the Pace University Lubin School of Business Transformative Leadership Certificate Program and as a mentor for The Mom Project. A native New Yorker, Katherine lives in New Jersey with her husband, two daughters, and rescue pup. She is a proud finisher of the New York City Marathon (barely), an on-again-off-again ballet and tap dancer, and an Orangetheory devotee.
