Paramount Pictures needed a trusted partner to successfully deliver their creative intent for a vibrant tentpole campaign.

Color and art consistency across substrates and mediums was essential—along with the highest levels of security. Add a tight timeline to the mix, and Midnight Oil was the only partner that could produce the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 campaign.

Solution

Midnight Oil, our LA-based experiential out-of-home studio, got to work. The team ensured color balance across 23 different creative looks on a variety of substrates including 1-sheets, oversized 1-sheets, billboards, barricades, and bus shelters.

Following the successful color matching and print production of these assets, the client upped the ask to include two fabrication elements essential to their campaign: a 30’x70’ dimensional billboard stunt, and a unique mall activation stunt.

We fabricated an interactive photo-op that was showcased across malls throughout the U.S., and a 14’x48’ billboard with dimensional biplane and dimensional characters. We brought these elements to life, and by the end of the campaign, Midnight Oil had produced almost 40 types of OOH and 45,000+ printed pieces!
